The Secretary General of the Kuwait Olympic Committee and presidential candidate in the upcoming elections of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Mr. Husain Al-Musallam visited the Hellenic Olympic Committee during his recent trip to Athens.
The HOC President and member of the International Olympic Committee Mr. Spyros Capralos welcomed Mr. Husain Al-Musallam, together with the HOC Secretary General, Mr. Manolis Kolymbadis. The meeting took place in a very friendly atmosphere and Mr. Capralos discussed with Mr. Al-Musallam the closer cooperation between the two sides.
Mr. Capralos said “We welcomed Husain Al-Musallam to the premises of the HOC and wished him all the best for his forthcoming election to the most important capacity in the World Swimming Federation. I have known him for many years and he told us that he is visiting our country because he is playing important role in the International Olympic Movement. I am sure that we will have a very constructive cooperation in the future “.
Mr. Husain Al-Musallam was accompanied by the Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and member of the FINA Bureau Mr. Andre Kryukov, while the meeting was attended by  the President of the Hellenic Swimming Federation Mr. Kyriakos Giannopoulos   and the First Vice-President Mr. Leonidas Athanasiadis as well as the swimming champion Ms. Kelly Araouzou who is the athletes’ representative in the Hellenic Swimming Federation’s Board of Directors.
