The European Qualification Tournament for Tokyo 2020 concluded in Sofia, Bulgaria with athletes from nine Mediterranean countries claiming the remaining Olympic spots.

Athletes from France, Spain, Italy, North Macedonia, Croatia, Turkiye, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece and Portugal booked their countries’ places at Tokyo 2020. France was the only country to have two golds with Magda Wiet and Althéa Laurin in the women’s category.

The Olympic qualifications for the Mediterranean countries are:
