Τhe third elections of the ICMG Athletes Commission were held from June 28th to July 4th, 2022, during the Mediterranean Games of Oran. There were eight (8) candidates nominated by the NOCs of Algeria, France, Greece, Slovenia and Turkiye.

In accordance with the regulations in force for the elections of the Athletes’ Commission, and after the counting of the votes by the scrutineers appointed by the ICMG Executive Committee, the four (4) athletes elected on the Commission are the following:

  1. Mr. Sid Ali BOUDINA (ALG) – Rowing
  2. Mr. Sašo BERTONCELJ (SLO)- Artistic Gymnastics
  3. Ms. Yasemin Ecem ANAGOZ (TUR) – Archery
  4. Ms. Delphine RÉAU (FRA) – Shooting

ICMG takes the opportunity to express, its deep gratitude for the support and collaboration of the NOCs in this operation, particularly those of Algeria, France, Greece, Slovenia and Turkiye for having nominated their candidates for the third elections of the ICMG Athletes’ Commission.

In accordance with the Commission’s regulations Mr. Kyriakos SOFOCLEOUS (CYP), Beach Handball, and Ms. Karla SITIC (CRO), Open Water Swimming, elected during the Mediterranean Beah Games of Patras 2019, will remain active members of the Commission until 2023 when the fourth elections of the Commission will be held on the occasion of the MBG Heraklion 2023.
