The 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games, to be held in June 2022 in Oran, Algeria, the active participation of all 26 NOCs-members in the new ICMG operations and the organisation of an important Mediterranean event in Montenegro in the near future, were the main topics on the agenda of the discussions between Montenegro NOC President Dusan Simonovic and Secretary General Igor Vusurovic and ICMG Secretary General Iakovos Filippousis.

This was the first-ever visit of an incumbent ICMG official to the NOC of Montenegro, in Podgorica headquarters.

“It was a great pleasure and honour indeed that I had the opportunity to visit the National Olympic Committee of Montenegro, representing President Tizzano and our entire organisation. We had a long and really productive discussion with President Dusan Simonovic and his excellent team. We truly appreciate the engagement to the Mediterranean family and its Values” concluded ICMG Secretary General after the meeting.

President Simonovic highlighted the commitment of the Montenegro NOC to the Mediterranean Games and the new, three continents, project “See unite us All”, which includes the Mediterranean spirit of peace, friendship, unity and solidarity, as well as the passion of the Montenegro NOC to gather the entire Mediterranean Family in the country, on the occasion of the organisation of a future ICMG event.

The NOC technical director and former Handball Olympic medallist Katarina Bulatovic,as well as the International Relations Director Mrs Maja Pekovic participated in the meetings as well.
