“Sports Forum” Conference opened the European Sports Week in Kosovo

The “Sports Forum” Conference, organized by the Kosovo Olympic Committee (KOC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), opened the European Sports Week.

The Conference was organized in panels covering topics such as: “Sports and the Covid-19 pandemic”, as well as “National Strategy for Sport, Good Governance and Gender Equality”.

In his opening remarks, the host of the Conference, the president of KOC, Besim Hasani, spoke about the importance of the European Sports Week, calling for children to be involved in sports as much as possible.

Minister Dumoshi and President Hasani sat in the first panel, together with the Minister of Health, Armend Zemaj, the acting Secretary General of the MCYS, Iber Alaj and the Secretary General of the Kosovo Handball Federation, Izet Gjinovci, to discuss “Sports and the Covid-19 pandemic”.

The Olympic champion coach, Driton Kuka, through a video message sent from Slovenia, called for resumption of sports activities, otherwise we risk losing something we have created for 20 years.

The second panel on “National Strategy for Sports, Good Governance and Gender Equality” involved the Secretary General of KOC, Shasivar Haxhijaj.
