The Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee celebrated the World Cleanup Day by organizing an operation for waste collection in Talaghilef – Wilaya de Tizi Ouzou. The event was held in a strict compliance with COVID 19 health provisions.

This day was organized in partnership with the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa – ANOCA and in collaboration with the Department of Youth and Sports, the Environment Department of Tizi Ouzou, the Natural Park of Djurdjura and the APC of Boghni.

World Cleanup Day was launched in September 2018 in 150 countries around the world. For 2020, the date that was chosen was September 19.
