Algeria will be present at the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games Oran 2022 with a total of 330 athletes, announced the President of the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee (COA), Abderrahmane Hammad. The Algerian delegation will be composed of 201 male athletes and 129 female athletes

These athletes will be accompanied by 182 supervisors, including 145 affiliated to the various Federations and 37 others from the COA and members of the medical staff.

Except the water polo, Algeria will be present in all the other sports disciplines scheduled in these Mediterranean Games, 23 sports totally.

The world boxing champion Imane Khelif has been designated to carry the Algerian flag at the opening ceremony of the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games scheduled for June 25 to July 6 in Oran.

The choice of the man flag bearer, has not yet been made, said the COA President.
