The President of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games, Amar Addadi, expressed in a letter to the President of the National Olympic Committee of France, Denis Masseglia, the deep sorrow of the Mediterranean Family about the great disaster at Notre-Dame.

Dear Denis,

On behalf of the entire Mediterranean Family, and on my own behalf, I wish to express our deep sorrow for the loss caused by the terrible fire that devastated the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, a marvelous symbol of Paris for more than 800 years.

We share the general despondency that has been apparent since then, but we are especially hopeful that its future reconstruction will be carried out under the best conditions.

With the expression of our best feelings, I send you my most cordial greetings.
