The inspection of the Coordination Commission of the ICMG was completed with regard to the progress of the preparations of the 2nd Mediterranean Beach Games Patras 2019.

During the meetings, various issues of each sector of the Games were discussed and analyzed, questions were answered and new timetables were set, until the next visit of the ICMG Coordination Commission and the meeting of the ICMG Executive Committee in Patras (2-4 April).

The Coordination Commission was informed about the location of the sports venues, the sports program of the Games, hosting and accommodation, accreditation and cooperation with the National Olympic Committees as well as about the forthcoming Chefs de Mission Seminar.

The ICMG CoCom was pleased with this briefing, congratulated the project team on the progress at all levels of preparations and recommended that they continue working with the same enthusiasm and without complacency. It was pointed out that March will be the most crucial month for the preparations of the Games and that until the next visit, all actions related to construction works and the completion of the hosting program should have been launched.

The Patras 2019 Mediterranean Beach Games Organizing Committee and Project Team are fully aware that the next few months are highly important for the completion of the procedures relating to critical areas of the organization, within strictly defined timelines, and are willing to continue working in a methodical way convinced of their ability to rise to such a big challenge for the city of Patras.
