Raising awareness of the importance of women in the world of sport was the main theme of the second Women and Sport Conference organised by the COE on 13 March.

In addition to COE President Alejandro Blanco, the Conference was attended by pioneering women in sport and past and present Olympic athletes, who talked about their experiences and the various challenges they have faced during their sporting and professional careers, but also the progress made towards achieving gender equality in sport.
