The President of the Slovenian Republic Borut Pahor and the Minister of Education, Science and Sport, Simona Kustec met the Slovenian Olympic winners in Brdo pri Kranju. They congratulated and thanked them for their achievements at the Tokyo Olympics, while emphasizing, among other things, the role of sport in connecting people even in difficult times.

The Slovenian athletes won five medals in Tokyo. Gold medals awarded to the  climber Janja Garnbret, the canoeist Benjamin Savšek and the cyclist Primož Roglič, the silver went to judoka Tina Trstenjak and the bronze to cyclist Tadej Pogačar.
