Preparations for the celebration started at the beginning of the month, with an art competition under the name Play for your team – Play for your school, in which all primary schools in Montenegro participated with more than  600 works of art on the theme of the Olympic Games, Olympism and the Montenegrin Olympic team.

The winners were announced on June 21 and a total of 12 children won the prizes in four categories. The main celebration was organized in Podgorica, at the newly opened stadium, from where another message was sent focusing on the the importance of the sport in Montenegro and how the spirit of Olympism is flourishing in the country

The NOC of Montenegro has been working hard for years to strengthen the Olympic values​​ and the celebrations held with the presence and support of many Olympians, athletes, and over 300 boys and girls from all over the Montenegro.

At the center of the celebration, mini competitions in handball, basketball, football, tennis, karate were organized. The members of an elementary school performed a dance show called “Sport is in style”. On this occasion, the participants were greeted by the President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dusan Simonovic.
