The official presentation of Patreas, the mascot of the II Mediterranean Beach Games took place at the Test Event of the Games, the final four of the Greek beach handball championship.

Patreas introduced himself between the men’s bronze medal match and the women’s final.

It is a seagull created by the 33-year-old Kanella Stasinopoulou, a native of Patras.  She has graduated from the School of Fine Arts and teaches art at Arsakeio School in Patras. She is involved in painting and ceramics and won the relevant contest for the mascot.
