The Athletes’ Commission of the Cyprus Olympic Committee organized an event at the Olympic Palace in Nicosia to present the work and the actions undertaken in 2023 as well as the planning of its activities for the next months.
The President of the Cyprus Olympic Committee, Georgios Chrysostomou, in his address to the public, revealed the steps that have been made in order to activate and improve the role of the Athletes’ Commission.
The Board of Directors of the Commission consists of Giorgos Achilleos (Chairman), Marios Antoniadis (Vice-Chairman), Andri Christoforou (General Secretary), Dinos Lefkaritis (Treasurer) and Ioanna Evangelou (Member).
The Athletes’ Commission awarded the General Director of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth, Dr. Marina Ioannou Hassapi, for the excellent cooperation with the Ministry. It also honoured the four female athletes of the National Cycling team, Dimitra Koukouma, Eleni Koukouma, Styliana Kamilari and Konstantina Georgiou, who qualified through ranking for the Paris Olympic Games. Andri Christoforou will represent Cyprus at the Olympic Games in cycling .
