The President of the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) Giovanni Malagò visited Albania for first time, following the invitation of the Albanian National Olympic Committee (KOKSH) President Fidel Ylli.

The two officials signed a memorandum of cooperation between KOKSH and CONI, which aims to offer high-level expertise from Italy to Albania, to develop the skills of Albanian coaches, to organize training camps for athletes and to promote the Olympic movement in both countries.

During his visit to the Olympic Park President Malagò, experienced the important projects that the Albanian Olympic Committee has undertaken, such as the development of sports in schools, the aim to attract as many people as possible in sport activities as well as the projects of building sport infrastructures in order for Albania to host  great international sporting events in the future.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Education and Sports Orgeta Manastirliu and Deputy Minister of Sports Endrit Hoxha, had also meetings with the delegation of the Italian Olympic Committee.
