The two-day visit – inspection of the ICMG Coordination Commission (CoCom) was completed on Friday 3rd of May. At constant meetings, all the planning of the Organizing Committee for the Games by sector was examined and analyzed.
The ICMG Coordination Commission was pleased with the briefing and congratulated the Organizing Committee for its commitment to the successful organization of the Games.
In order to preserve the uninterrupted development and pace of preparation, just 114 days before the Opening Ceremony of the Games, the Coordination Commission called for the speeding up of the procedures so that the following will be completed as soon as possible: the tenders for supplies, the signing of contracts with hotels and the completion of meeting the needs of accommodation, the updating of the communication campaign for Volunteering, the completion of the planning of the Medical sector (anti-doping, cooperation and contracts with institutions, medical and pharmaceutical supplies tenders etc.) and the further staffing of the Organizing Committee with the necessary staff members of the functional areas of the organizational chart.
The next visit of the ICMG Coordination Commission will take place on 4 June.
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Mediterranean Beach Games “Patras 2019” thanked the members of the Coordination Commission for their cooperation, assistance and comments and committed itself to resolving pending issues within specific timeframes and continuing efforts to prepare and conduct high-level Games.
