The Tunisian National Olympic Committee (CNOT) organized the ninth Olympic Torch ceremony, in the presence of Mehrez Boussayène, CNOT President and Member of the International Olympic Committee, as well as numerous sports personalities.

The Men’s High Performance Torch was awarded to swimmer Ayoub Hafnaoui and in the women’s category to the tennis player Ons Jabeur, while swimmer Ahmed Jawadi and rower Héla Belhaj Mohamed took the torch for the best young male and female athlete. In Paralympic sports, the Olympic torch went to Raoua Tlili, for women, and to Walid Ktila, for men.

The Olympic Torch ceremony took place in the presence of the ambassadors of Palestine and France in Tunisia as well as the winners of the 9th edition and a number of veterans in various sport disciplines.
