Mediterranean Games Oran 2022: the countdown started in a festive atmosphere

The Organizing Committee of the Mediterranean Games (OCMG) “Oran 2022” has established a rich programme for the countdown of the 19th edition of this regional sporting event.

The celebration of this event, organized in collaboration with the various partners of the OCMG, will take place at the level of the esplanade of the Sidi M’hamed garden, not far from the avenue of the National Liberation Army (former seafront).

A rich programme was prepared for the occasion, involving among other things, sports, cultural and heritage aspects, in addition to entertainment activities.

The start of the festivities will be given in the morning with a “treasure hunt”, an activity organized by the association “Nomades Algériens” in collaboration with the OCMG.

The ceremony, which marks the start of the countdown of one year to go until Mediterranean Games scheduled from June 25 to July 5, 2022, will be opened by a musical troupe.

Craft exhibitions, as well as an exhibition of antique cars will also be held. On the sporting side, in addition to the basketball tournament (3×3), which will be open to the public and with the participation of 32 teams, several exhibitions will be given with the disciplines of fencing and martial arts (wrestling, karate, judo, taekwondo) as well as a table tennis tournament.
