In the context of establishing bilateral relations between countries in the region, the NOC of Albaniais to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Olympic Committees of neighbouring countries including Kosovo, Northern Macedonia and Montenegro. NOC President Fidel Ylli, together with administrative staff, paid a two-day visit to Pristina and Skopje, where they were welcomed by Ismet Krasniqi, President of the Kosovo Olympic Committee and Daniel Dimevski, President of the Olympic Committee of North Macedonia.

A meeting in Podgorica with the Montenegrin Olympic Committee was also held.

All these meetings are centred on ramping up bilateral relations, with joint projects in the pipeline for sports development activities, training camps and exchanges of experiences in managing various projects. During his visit to Skopje, Fidel Ylli also met the UWW President and IOC EB member Nenad Lalović.
