The Olympic Committee of Kosovo (OCK) hosted its first Leading Sports Women Forum at the Sirius Hotel in Pristina, as part of International Women’s Day celebrations on 8 March.

The event featured Kosovo’s Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Vlora Dumoshi, and brought together leading sportswomen from National Federations in Kosovo, as well as
coaches and athletes and the OCK Executive Board.
“Every year, such a forum will be organised in honour of this day, and I believe that the forum will take on an international character,” OCK President Besim Hasani said. “Sport remains a
powerful platform and I believe we will be a good example of gender equality.”

He added: “The Kosovo NOC’s statute provides that we shall have at least seven women on the Executive Board, for a ratio of 10 men to seven women.”
