Taranto is ready to host the Extraordinary General Assembly of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (11-12 November).

The General Assembly, chaired by Davide Tizzano, will bring together the International Committee of Mediterranean Games and the delegates of the National Olympic Committees of the 26 participating countries.

On Friday 11th the Mayor of Taranto and President of the Taranto 2026 Organizing Committee, Rinaldo Melucci, will inaugurate the new headquarters of the Organizing Committee in the Town Hall.

In the afternoon, the programme includes meeting of the ICMG Executive Bureau and meeting of the ICMG Coordination Commission and the Organizing Committee of Mediterranean Games Taranto 2026.

The next day the ICMG General Assembly will be held, with the presence of delegates from the 26 Mediterranean countries. Αfter the opening addresses, there will be a ceremony for awarding the Title of Honorary President for Life to Mr. Amar Addadi.

Also, the Title of Honorary Member to: Mr. Victor Naranjo Sanchez, Mr. Marwan Maghur and Mr. Stavri Bello. The ICMG Order of Merit will be awarded to Mr. Victor Naranjo Sanchez, Mr. Marwan Maghur, Mr. Stavri Bello, General Souhail Khoury and Mr. Alain Lunzenfichter. Finally, the posthumous award of the ICMG Order of Merit to Dinos Michaelides.
