In a festive atmosphere with many spectators at the Heraklion Marina, the curtain fell on the 3×3 basketball tournament with Greece winning the two gold medals.
In the men’s final, Greece beat Croatia 12-11. The bronze medal in the men’s tournament of the Mediterranean Beach Games went to Slovenia, by beating Algeria 12-10.
In the women’s final Greece also took the gold after the victory against Slovenia 11-9 In the women’s bronze match, Croatia defeated Tunisia 14-12 in overtime (12-12 in regular time).
The medals to the women’s teams were presented by the ICMG Secretary General Iakovos Filippousis.
