Τhe Syrian Omar Sarem put around his neck the first medal of Syria in the 3rd edition of the Mediterranean Beach Games
Sarem won the gold medal in the +90kg category of beach wrestling, after beating in the final the Greek Apostolos Tsiovolos
It is the fifth medal for Syria in the history of the Mediterranean Beach Games. One gold in the 1st edition in Pescara and one silver and two bronze medals at Patras 2019.
The medal to Omar Sarem was presented by the ICMG President Davide Tizzano.
