Great performances from Italy, France and Spain at the 2nd European Games

The Mediterranean countries did a great job at the 2nd European Games which took place in Minsk and ended on Sunday, the 30th of June. In the first place of the Mediterranean countries was Italy with 13 gold medals, 15 silver and 13 bronze, gaining the 4th place in the medal standings with 41 medals in total.

France had also an outstanding performance, winning 6 gold medals, 9 silver and 13 bronze medals, a record that gave to the country the 8th place with a total of 28 medals.

Spain took the 3rd place among the Mediterranean countries, with 5 gold medals, 2 silver and 6 bronze, winning 13 medals in total, achievement that gave to Spain the 12th place in the medal standings of the European Games.

The cygling team of France took the silver medal (Grégory Baugé, Quentin Caleyron, Rayan Helal, Quentin Lafargue) 

Slovenia was next with 4 gold medals, Portugal and Greece followed with 3 gold medals, Turkiye and Croatia took two gold and Serbia and Kossovo, finished the Games with one gold medal. Bosnia, Cyprus and Montenegro took a silver medal and San Marino won a bronze medal.
