The Organising Committee of the 20th Mediterranean Games Taranto 2026 will host the official draw for the team sports competitions on Friday at the Aula Magna of the Ionian Department of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 15:00 CET time.

As one of the key milestones in the preparations for the Games, the draw will determine the composition of the groups for the team sports tournaments, providing important technical information for participating delegations while also marking another significant step in the countdown to the Mediterranean Games.

The draw will include the disciplines of water polo, handball, volleyball, football and 3×3 basketball. These sports traditionally attract strong interest and play a prominent role in the overall programme of the Mediterranean Games.

To ensure broad access for the Mediterranean sporting community, the draw will be broadcast live through the Organising Committee’s official YouTube channel and on the ANSA website, allowing athletes, officials, media representatives and fans to follow the proceedings in real time.
