ICMG President Amar Addadi and Secretary General Iakovos Filippousis send their condolences to the European Olympic Committees for the death of the President Janez Kocijančič.

The letter to the Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi:

It was with deep sadness and sorrow that we have been informed about the passing of Mr. Janez Kocijančič, President of the European Olympic Committees.

Throughout the years, Mr. Kocijančič has built a sound knowledge of sport and has been a fervent supporter of the Sports Movement, aware of the many benefits of Sport for a better society.

Under his leadership, European sport was led to the highest levels. He

was also a great friend and supporter of the Mediterranean Games. It is without question that his death will be a great loss to the entire international sports community in general, and to the Mediterranean one, in particular.

On behalf of all the members of the ICMG please accept our sincere condolences and convey our deepest sympathy to his family, friends and colleagues.
