ANOC delegation led by Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg visited Cascais, Portugal to discuss the continued preparations for the 2024 General Assembly and accompanying events with the Portugal Olympic Committee (COP).

The ANOC representatives met with the Local Organising Committee and COP President José Manuel Constantino and ANOC emphasised the importance of their ongoing collaboration and working together as one team over the next year. President Constantino reiterated Portugal’s commitment to hosting a successful General Assembly.

“We are moving in the right direction and we are sure that the General Assembly in Cascais will be a very successful one. We feel the energy from all the people in Portugal and we are very happy to host it here.” Said the Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg.

President Constantino said: “It shows the trust of ANOC that they have given us the opportunity to host the General Assembly in 2024. We will do everything to successfully host this event and we ask for everyone’s support to help us achieve this.”
