Olympic champion Zorana Arunović of Serbia captured the gold medal in the women’s 10m Air Pistol event at the XX Mediterranean Games Taranto 2026, completing a remarkable return to the top of the podium 17 years after winning her first individual Mediterranean title in the same discipline at Pescara 2009.

The Serbian shooter dominated the final with a score of 239.3 points, once again demonstrating the class that has made her one of the most successful pistol shooters in the world. Italy’s Margherita Brigida Veccaro delighted the home crowd by securing the silver medal with 235.7 points, while Türkiye’s Sevval Ilayda Tarhan completed the podium, taking bronze with 216.5 points.

The medals were presented by the ICMG Secretary General, Iakovos Filippousis, who congratulated the three medalists on an outstanding competition. Arunović’s victory adds another chapter to an extraordinary Mediterranean Games career, during which she has won medals at every edition she has contested since 2009.
