A minute of silence observed at weightlifting competition in memory of Guy Koller, the President of the French Fédération ow weightling, who died on Sunday 3 July. He was found in his hotel room, in Oran (Algérie), where he was in the framework of the Mediterranean Games.

The cause of his death is not yet known, but the public prosecutor has requested an autopsy.

Guy Koller was 65 years old and he was President of the federation for over a year. Elected in April 2021 to the presidency Guy Koller was seven times champion of France from 1978 to 1984 in the category of heavyweights (+110 kg).
