Greece and Italy dominated in the opening day of Finswimming at the 3rd Mediterranean Beach Games. Greece took 4 gold medals, 2 silver and 3 bronze, with a total of 9 medals.
Greece took 4 gold medals, 2 silver and 3 bronze, with a total of 9 medals. It was followed by Italy with a tally of 8 medals: four gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
In the 100m BF, Tunisia’s Youssef Nefati combined his victory with a new Mediterranean record, finishing in 42.52.
It is the first gold medal of Tunisia in the Mediterranean Beach Games Heraklion 2023.
