The four-day inspection of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games in Heraklion in view of the 3rd edition of the Mediterranean Beach Games was concluded on Saturday, June 10 in Crete, with the joint meeting of the ICMG and the Organizing Committee.
The opening speech was made by ICMG President Davide Tizzano who said among other things: “All the meetings took place in an excellent atmosphere. We are satisfied with the work that has been done so far and we have to continue at the same pace because there are only 90 days left for the games. I believe that these will be the best Mediterranean Beach Games in history.”
After the speeches, the Executive Director of the Organizing Committee Nikos Provias made a detailed presentation about all the aspects of the Mediterranean Beach Games “Heraklion 2023”.
The President of the Coordination Commission General Sοuhail Khoury pointed out: “During the four days in Crete I had the pleasure of participating in very constructive meetings. We are here to help the Organizing Committee in every apesct of this event.”
The President of the Sports Program Commission Mohamed Zribi, said: “It was a very good presentation and I am glad that you are trying to find solutions in the requests of the sports officials. I’m sure that we are going to have excellent Games!”.
In addition to the members of the Organizing Committee, the Mayors of Heraklion, Vassilis Lambrinos, and the Mayor of Malevizi, Menelaos Bokeas, as well as the Secretary General of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Manolis Kolympadis, attended the meeting.
