The Albanian National Olympic Committee held its 27th General Elective Assembly in Tirana, Albania on 29 October. Four new members elected to the Executive Committee with a mandate until 2027. They are: Alfred Tahiraj (37 votes), Dritan Shakohoxha (44 votes), Julinda Dhame (49 votes) and Tonin Binoshaj (41 votes).
The Assembly also elected the three founding members of the Sports Arbitration Council (CAS): Skënder Kaçupi (47 votes in favour) proposed by the athletes’ commission, Eralda Cani (50 votes in favour) proposed by the Sports Federations and Marjana Semini (46 votes) who came as a candidate from the public call.
Among the rest, the 27th General Elective Assembly approved the new NOC logo and honored two personalities with the Albanian “Olympic Order”, Mr. Gazmend Çaçi and Mr. Gjergj Ruli, great former athletes respectively in basketball and athletics.
