A senior ANOC delegation, led by ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg, visited Croatia this week to meet with the Croatian Olympic Committee and local officials to discuss potential collaboration on future ANOC events.

Secretary General Lindberg was joined by ANOC Technical Director Haider Farman, Emilie Robert and Andres Santi.

Croatian Olympic Committee President Zlatko Mateša and General Secretary Siniša Krajač hosted the ANOC delegation as they visited the cities of Poreč and Umag.

Discussions were held on possibilities around hosting future ANOC events such as the 2025 edition of the ANOC World Beach Games. Potential sites that could host the event were visited to determine the suitability of the city. The ANOC representatives also visited the nearby city of Umag which could have the potential to support in hosting any future event in order to maximise sustainable use of venues and infrastructure.
