The eighth working visit on the progress of the preparations for the 2021 Mediterranean Games scheduled in Oran (June 25 – July 4) completed in the Algerian city. The Coordination Commission of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games consider that the 19th edition can give a boost to the event. Moreover, the Algerian edition will be a “stage for the renewal of this regional sporting event” noted Salim Iles, the director general of the Organizing Committee.
“The members of the Coordination Commission chaired by the French, Bernard Amslam, left satisfied with the work carried out so far by the various commissions of our Organizing Committee,” assured Iles.
Also, the former swimmer mentioned that “we had a lot of delay to catch the organizational aspect of the games, since this is our direct responsibility.” But despite the great improvement, he said that “there is still work to be done to overcome the delays in certain files relating to the preparations of the games.”
