On Saturday, January 13, at the Holy See in Rome, President Davide Tizzano participated at the invitation of “Athletica Vaticana” in the audience of the Holy Father.

During the meeting, the President brought as a gift to the Pope the representative flag of the ICMG on behalf of the whole “Mediterranean Family.”

Pope Francis greatly appreciated the gift and strongly reiterated the importance and value of the sports message in the Mediterranean that unites 3 Continents.

At the end of the talk, President Tizzano thanked the Holy Father who expressed his great interest in the Mediterranean Basin “that it may be more and more, through sport, a place of peace, brotherhood and hope.”
