Miltiadis Tentoglou, the 25-year-old Greek long jumper, won his first world title in Budapest with the final attempt measured at 8.52 meters. After an opening jump of 8.50 meters he was initially in second place, matched by Jamaican Wayne Pinnock (22), who had a second-best try of 8.40 meters compared to the 8.39 meters of the Greek. T

This thrilling final saw Jamaican Tajay Gayle, world champion in 2019, claim the bronze medal with a jump of 8.27 meters.

Already crowned European champion, Olympic champion, indoor world champion, the Greek showed great mentality to seek gold at the end of the final, against the Jamaican Wayne Pinnock who led throughout the competition with its 8.50m.
