The final inspection of the International Mediterranean Games Coordination Committee in Patras, a few days before the start of the II Mediterranean Beach Games, was completed. During the two days of the inspection, the Organizing Committee executives presented for each sector respectively, an extensive analysis and presentation of the progress made in the preparation for the Games.
Entering in the final weeks before the start of the Games, the Coordination Committee was extremely welcomed by the significant progress that was made in the sport venues as they are starting to have their final form.
However, the Coordination Committee members stressed out the urgent need of immediate progress in the sectors of transport, hospitality, anti-doping and security during the Games. Subsequent procedures and timetables were set within the remaining congested timeframes and the Organizing Committee committed itself to finish the tasks immediately and to resolve all open issues.
The Coordination Committee has given to the Organizing Committee a deadline until Thursday 17th August to complete all the pending procedures in the areas of the services for the foreign athletes and the organization of the Games.
