The Cyprus Olympic Committee (COC) celebrated the “Olympic Day 2023” with an event staged at the city of Deryneia.

Hundreds of people took part in the celebrations which included two “Olympic Runs”. These were a 1.000 metres dash for children under the age of 12 and a 5 kilometer route for teenagers and adults.

The COC President Giorgos Chrysostomou and the Vice-President Yiotis Ioannidis attended the event and participated in the 5 km race.

At the end of the day, all the participants were awarded a certificate signed by IOC President Thomas Bach and COC President Giorgos Chrysostomou.

The was co-organised by the COC, the Famagusta Municipality and the gymnastic club “Evagoras Famagusta”.
