In accordance with the decision made by the Executive Committee at the meeting of April 20th, 2024,  the launch of the candidature phase for the organization of the 5th edition of the Mediterranean Beach Games in 2031, has begun.

The Mediterranean NOCs, members of the ICMG, are invited to submit firstly their expression of interest and then their candidature file, in order to elect the Host City at the General Assembly of the ICMG, scheduled to be held in September 2025 in Portimão & Lagoa, Portugal, Host City of the 2027 Mediterranean Beach Games.

The ICMG regulations allow only one candidate city per country. In case of a candidature, the official authority of the city concerned should submit an official request to the ICMG, after having obtained the approval of the National Olympic Committee of its country.

This request should be followed by the submission of a candidature file, which should contain detailed information on all the commitments and organization conditions, as well as the letters of guarantee on behalf of the state authorities.

The official announcement of a candidature can be made by letter addressed to the ICMG Secretariat. The deadline for the express of interest is the 31st of August 2024, whereas the deadline for the submission of the candidature file is the 31st of October 2024.

The visit of the ICMG Evaluation Commission to the candidate cities will take place between January and February 2025.
