The African Handball Confederation has announced the change in the calendar of the  African Men’s Championship planned in Morocco following a request from the International Handball Federation (IHF) because it coincides with the Mediterranean Games which will be held in the city of Oran from June 25 to July 6, 2022.

CAHB informed the national federations that the African meeting initially scheduled in Morocco on June 22, 2022 has been postponed to the period from July 11 to 18, 2022 by decision of the International Handball Federation in response to the request of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG).

This is the second postponement of African Men’s Championship initially scheduled for January 13 to 23, 2022 in Morocco.

The second change is motivated by the desire to avoid overlapping dates between the Championship and the Mediterranean Games in Oran.
