453 men and 315 women athletes will take part in 13 different sports at the 3rd Mediterranean Beach Games “Heraklion 2023”. In total 768 athletes will compete in the Games that are going to take place from 9 to 16 of September in the Municipalities of Heraklion, Hersonissos, and Malevizi, with the support of the Region of Crete.

Beach Handball is the sport with the most participants, 149, with 15 national teams, consist of 80 male and 69 female players.

Beach Soccer is following with 84 athletes and Finswimming with 82 swimmers (42 men and 40 women)
