In conformity with the World Anti-Doping Code and following anti-doping controls carried out by the ICMG Medical and Anti-Doping Commission, there was only one case of doping at the Mediterranean Games of Tarragona, that of Ms. Ana Draskovic of Montenegro.

Following the decision of the Executive Committee of the ICMG, the silver medalist in Karate (-55 kg Women) from Montenegro, Mrs. Ana Draskovic, was disqualified from the Mediterranean Games of Tarragona 2018 because of an abnormal analysis result detected during the doping control conducted by the ICMG Medical and Anti-Doping Commission on June 23rd, 2018.

As a result, the results in Karate competitions as well as the overall medals table were modified accordingly in consultation with the World Karate Federation.
