The former technical manager of the Algerian Boxing Federation, Mr. Mourad Meziane was installed as Sports Director of the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee (COA) by President Mr. Abderrahmmane Hammad in the presence of Secretary General Mr. Khireddine Barbary.

The new Director of Sports of the COA has been active in the National Sports and Olympic Movement since 1997, the year he obtained his diploma as an adviser from the Higher Institute of Sports Sciences and Technologies (ESSTS ex ISTS).

After a brief term as a teacher in the same school, Mr. Meziane began a career as a club trainer before joining the Algerian Boxing Federation where he held the positions of Director of Young Talents, later Director of Training and finally National Technical Director from 2009 to 2021.
