Record-breaking in all areas at the Mediterranean Games that took place last summer in Tarragona, Spain, as revealed by the latest figures.

The Organizing Committee has announced that the event ended with an economic surplus of 200,000 euros, which is unpresended as most Games worldwide are usually loss-making.

There was also a record in the presence of athletes, with 3,648 of which 2,180 were men and 1,468 women, supported by 2,850 volunteers, the highest number in the history of the Mediterranean Games.

828 journalists from around the world were involved in the Games, which proves the great interest of the Tarragona Mediterranean Games.
