It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden and tragic death of Mr. Patrick Baumann, GAISF President, FIBA Secretary General and IOC member.  For many years he has been one of the most influential figures in world sport, a sports leader and a fervent supporter of the Sports Movement and of the Olympic values.  His death will be a great loss to the sports community.
