It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Borislav Stankovic, former FIBA Secretary General, Honorary IOC member and former member of the ICMG Executive Committee.

Borislav Stankovic has been one of the most influential and legendary figures in world sport. His enormous contribution to basketball throughout his life was well-recognised and shall be always remembered.

Borislav was a fervent supporter of the Sports Movement and of the Olympic values and a great friend of the Mediterranean Games.  It is without question that his death will be a great loss to the sports community.

The ICMG extends its deepest condolences to his family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this very difficult time.
