HOC President Spyros Capralos welcomed a delegation from the Brazilian Olympic Committee, headed by marathon runner and Athens 2004 bronze medalist Wanderlei Cordeiro de Lima.

The athlete left his mark on the history of the Games as he was leading the race in Athens but got knocked down by a spectator, which cost him the chance of winning the gold medal.

With President Capralos and HOC Secretary General Manolis Kolympadis, he shared his memories of Athens 2004, his great joy when he crossed the finish line and how he managed to regain speed and continue his race to fulfill the biggest dream of his life, winning an Olympic medal in the marathon.
