On 8 April,  the Algerian Olympic and Sporting Committee (COA) celebrated WADA’s Play True Day, at the COA headquarters. This year, the NOC chose the ADAMS athlete whereabouts system as its theme.

Bringing together national technical directors, national coaches and athletes the event provided information on registration and monitoring in the system, and the potential sanctions for athletes in the event of non-compliance.

Since 2014, WADA has celebrated every April the Play True Day, to raise awareness among athletes, the public and all other stakeholders of the importance of protecting clean sport. The celebration has grown in importance over the years and WADA’s social media campaign reached over 50 million people last year, including many individual and institutional participants from around the world. .

“ADAMS” is a Web-based database management system that simplifies the daily activities of all stakeholders and athletes involved in the anti-doping system. The main objective was to explain the methods of registration, monitoring in the “ADAMS” System as well as the risks of suspension incurred by the target athletes.
