The National Institute of Sports, Expertise and Performance (INSEP), the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) and the French Paralympic and Sports Committee (CPSF) jointly rewarded the World and the European champions of 2019 in the Olympic and Paralympic sports disciplines, on Tuesday 10th of December in the Evening of Champions.
The CNOSF President Denis Masseglia, the CPSF President Marie-Amélie Le Fur and Ghani Yalouz, Director General of the INSEP welcomed the athletes of the French sports movement in the INSEP Halle Maigrot. The World and the European champions were rewarded together with the sports federations, the non-Olympic disciplines of Olympic sports in juniors and seniors category.
With dunk, fencing or bike demonstrations, choreographed poem of trampoline and rhythmic gymnastics and video of engagement around Paris 2024, the evening had a beautiful moment of emotion with the tribute paid to Boris Diaw, honored for his career. The former captain of the French basketball team received a present from the hands of Denis Masseglia and became the hero of a improvised song performed live by the duo Odah and Dako.
The high performance General Manager of the National Sports Agency, Claude Onesta was made a presentation and affirmed the ambitions of the Agency for the development of the high level athletes.
