The President of the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (ICMG) Amar Addadi told with satisfaction in Oran that “a new dynamic marking the preparations” of the city to host the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games in 2021.

Speaking at the press conference which followed the meeting of the Executive Board, he congratulated the Organizing Committee for the “progress made” in the preparations of the Games which are scheduled from the 25th of June to the 5th of July 2021. He also believes that the efforts made since the appointment last August, of Salim Iles as the director general of the Organizing Committee have made it possible “to catch up the delay in the works by the previous organizing committee “.

“There are still some subjects related to the technical aspect that will have to be taken care of very quickly so that the next edition of the Games will be a total success” he said.

The President of the ICMG Monitoring and Coordination Commission, Bernard Amsalem, use the word “fruitful” regarding the work of the ICMG Executive Committee held in Oran. “We review the work of all the sides involved in the preparation of the Mediterranean Games, in the presence of the Minister of Youth and Sports, as well as the new Wali of Oran, “he noticed.
